The Garrett POWERMAX™ turbocharger upgrades are designed to enhance the performance of Volkswagen and Audi MK7 2.0L TSI engines while maintaining OEM installation specifications. The Stage 1 and Stage 2 upgrades optimize efficiency and airflow compared to the original turbocharger.
Stage 1 (Part Number: 898199-5001W):
- Power Output: Up to 485 HP (362 kW)
- Compressor Wheel Dimensions: 47 mm inducer, 60 mm exducer
- Turbine Wheel Dimensions: 50 mm inducer, 45 mm exducer
- Maximum Turbocharger Speed: 185,000 rpm
Stage 2 (Part Number: 898200-5001W):
- Power Output: Up to 600 HP (447 kW)
- Compressor Wheel Dimensions: 54 mm inducer, 67 mm exducer
- Turbine Wheel Dimensions: 54 mm inducer, 49 mm exducer
- Maximum Turbocharger Speed: 165,000 rpm
Both variants feature high-temperature Mar-M alloy turbine wheels and twin-scroll stainless steel turbine housings, rated for temperatures up to 1050°C. These turbochargers come fully assembled, with a pre-calibrated electronic actuator and all necessary components for direct OEM installation.

Warning: The maximum allowable turbocharger speed is 185,000 rpm for Stage 1 and 165,000 rpm for Stage 2. Operating the product beyond these limits is at the owner's risk and may result in damage or premature failure. To prevent overspeeding, a speed sensor port has been machined into the compressor housing, compatible with speed sensor part numbers 781328-0003 (sensor and gauge) and 781328-0004 (speed sensor only). Speed sensors are sold separately.
Performance results depend heavily on vehicle modifications and tuning/calibration. The target power output has been calculated strictly based on the choke flow of the compressor map (total turbo capability), representing potential flywheel power.
