Its main characteristic is the special iridium electrode. Thanks to the high material density of iridium, it is a good electrical conductor and can withstand very high temperatures (iridium's melting point is 2446 degrees Celsius). Denso uses the properties of iridium to create the extremely thin 0.4 mm electrode tip, for which Denso's patented laser welding is used. This guarantees the creation of a precision end product.
